Just the other day, our "relatively new" loveseat started to make a creaking noise when you sat in it.  Come to find out, the manufacturers failed to establish any kind of support to the frame.  They used staples throughout, and only hit particle board with them.  It's actually rather impressive that the couch held up as well as it did the past couple of years.  Matt ripped the bottom off of it and then went to work adding support where needed -- You know, where the particle board hit REAL wood.

It's now as good as new!  

We've invited a few unknowing people over this last weekend - it held up beautifully!
