How I'd like to spend my day off...

My animals would TOTALLY go along with this!
Matt wouldn't.

62 days left

So that makes me at... 7 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days?  I think.
Apparently, (according to numerous books) he's sleeping this week, trying to gain  a whole pound.  I don't know where he's going to fit - cause I'm stretched to the max!

Today, I locked myself out of the house - stuck in the backyard.  I had two choices.  Jump the fence or climb through our elevated doggie door.  The fences were all wet from the rain and looked like an accident waiting to happen.  Amazingly enough, I still fit through the dog door!!  It wasn't the most graceful entry to a home - but it worked!
I think that'll be my sign.
I'm done being pregnant when I don't fit through the dog's door.

Our Baby Shower

We can't thank everyone enough for spoiling Matt and I, and future "Carter"  - we had a baby shower a couple weekends ago thrown by one of the best friends a girl could ever have!

Jordan and her mother got together and coordinated a gathering that was just awesome!  They handled all the stress, the preparations, the clean-up...  Matt and I just opened the doors and let people come on in!

It wasn't traditional in the sense that baby showers are usually filled with women playing cutesy baby games, and sharing birthing stories...  IT WAS PERFECT.  Barbeque, both genders, hanging out - no silly games.  Exactly what I wanted.

My sister made me the cutest diaper cake with tons of usable stuff packed inside.  It looks so great... I told her that I didn't know if - when he's here - I'll be able to dismantle it!

My mom and sister slaved over appetizers after an already JAM-PACKED week.  Jordan, Cole and Jordan's mom got all the food arranged, the linens, tables, chairs, and then made and decorated 4 cakes - used as center pieces on all the tables.

We felt so fortunate.

As far as gifts went, we received SO MUCH STUFF!  Carter and us are set!  There is no way that we could have afforded everything!  It was wasn't a "shower" it was "pouring" gifts!  That night, Matt and I stayed up late to build EVERYTHING!  It was a blast!

Thank you  EVERYONE!  Our family and friends are amazing.  We love you all.
