Meet Baby Grimes!

Our newest addition ... I'm pregnant with what appears to be, a peanut!

This is it at 5 weeks and 2 days.  We are going to be getting new images each week.  (Our doctor is very thorough.) Can I just tell you how relaxing this image was for me - and Matt too, I believe.  There is ONLY ONE peanut.  PHEWWww!  I was worried.  SO many fertility drugs have entered my system -  I was holding my breath - Thinking we were about to make a new Guiness Record.

You get ultrasounds every week? Are you kidding me? How lucky are you? I can't wait to find out what you're having. And I'm glad you are having just one. I can't imagine having more the first time around. I wouldn't be able to handle double dirty diapers.:) You've had good practice with all your dogs and cats and school kids though. You'll be a great mom!

High risk pregnancy = ultrasounds each week. It seems like it will be reassuring, but so far, just nerve racking.

How many more days till you are due? It's getting close right?

Uh...I'm due June 17th. Next week I get a pelvic exam to see if I'm dilated. I had no idea you were having a high risk pregnancy. I hope everything goes well. Jack has a little spot on his heart, (which should mean nothing,) but I was able to get more ultrasounds than usual because of it. I tried to talk Andy into paying for a 3-D one but he wouldn't. The good thing about more ultrasounds means that you get to find out the sex sooner! (Unless you want it to be a surprise ofcourse.) I'm so not patient enough for that though.:) Your peanut is looking great!

Thank you! I don't know if I am truly high risk or not... But "conception wise" it was difficult and our specialist guy wants to be thorough and not overlook any potential problems. How common is Jack's spot? How much was the 3D imaging?

The spot is found in every 5 babies. There is a link to Down Syndrome with it but most babies are fine. He also had too much fluid in his kidneys or something which also links to Downs but he doesn't have that anymore and they said he should be fine. (Nothing else infers that he has Downs.) The ultra-sound tech said the ultrasounds of her daughter were exactly like mine and she didn't have any problems. So...I hope and think he's okay. I want to say the 3D ultrasound is between 90 and 120 dollars. You can get it at 32 weeks I believe. I think they are pretty trippy. I wanted to get it because I'm dying to see what Jack looks like!
