Saturday - St. George, UT to Vegas, NV -- Via Zion Nat. Park

Since we aren't really Vegas people, we chose to spend the least amount of time possible in that desert region.   Instead we spent the day exploring Zion National Park in Utah.

On our way to Zion, we stopped in at the local Walmart - we couldn't pass up the Toy Story Pajamas.  Carter had spent every waking moment of the trip talking about Buzz and Woody.  As soon as we tossed them into the basket, Carter ripped open the box and started getting dressed.

He was doing good - but then he decided to try the pants on his head.

This tree was infested with something -- LARGE.  The sacks were wiggling constantly.

Of course, Carter got a pressed penny.

This is about a mile trail that leads to a waterfall that you can walk under.  Carter definitely had the easiest hike.

A photo from underneath!

This is another hike further into the park.  It goes right along the river and the mountain sides close in on you as you travel deeper in towards the "narrows" (the location where your hike enters the river).  The trail was closed for the "narrows" at this time of year.

Lets play "I spy" ... there are two rock climbers hiding in this photo.  They are in the 3rd column of the mountain in the crevice that is inset.  One climber is above the other.
