So, with Cara in the car - we headed through the Rockies.

The location of the natural mineral spas in Steamboat Springs. We spent the entire afternoon soaking in the 100 degree waters - in the rain, surrounded by 35 degree air.
That night - it snowed.

and snowed.
We ate breakfast at a little bakery - one of the ONLY businesses that were open during "mud season."
Yes, that's right: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Mud
Mud season closes the slopes, businesses, and life of Colorado.
We were fortunate to find ANY restaurants open for breakfast.
