Matt and Mentos

So, last Friday, Matt had the day off.  He chose to spend his afternoon hanging out with my 4th graders, doing a science experiment.
I had never seen this before, but Matt knew all about it and was eager to show it to the kids.

Here's how it works...
Mentos in the top canister,
Pepsi 2-liter on the bottom.
Pull string attached to allow for the mentos to drop at a strategic moment.

Soda shoots higher than the rooftops and the kids react like they just saw a rocket launch.

Pretty sure they all went home and begged their parents to purchase soda and mentos that afternoon!
